Chapter 7: Sa Réponse (Mentions of suicide)

Never in a million years did I believe Liam would wish to become one of the vampires.

Though...I suppose the alternative had no appeal to him.

I gave him the positives and the negatives of the entire concept of being...inhuman. And he listened to them all.

I gave him three days. Three days, and by then, he must give me his answer.

But had I expected the response I received? No. But before that day came, he took me along around town, so I could see firsthand what he often went through.

Chapter 6: Monstruosité

I at first took Liam's words with a grain of salt. After all, many are wary of new friends. He knew little about Francisca, only that she was my sister.

Of course, he also claimed that during the mornings, Francisca was often throwing up in the bathroom.

She herself spoke of feeling ill, and quite nauseous.

Liam's assumptions, though well-intentioned, were absurd. He claimed that she may have had a stomach virus, or perhaps her, ahem, 'monthly curse'.

When I disregarded his suggestions, he then blurted out the unthinkable: that she was likely to be with child!

Though plausible, I also found it ridiculous. It was not in Francisca's nature to simply...do such a thing.

Were she carrying a child within, it was likely she would have shown by that point. The timing of her disappearance would also have not made sense.

No, what truly ailed her was something completely different.

Chapter 5: Soeur

Countless nights, I slept fitfully, worried for the well-being of dear Francisca.

I trusted Renauld to help me, but even then, he said that he was unsure of what he could do.

Then, one afternoon, he gave me news! He said he had discovered her home, and that she would still be living there!

But alas, she was not to be seen there. I had thought that perhaps Renauld had been mistaken. It happened often enough. Many other leads he presented in the past had gone cold.

However, he insisted. He was absolutely sure it was where Francisca resided. His advice to me was to return at a later time.

It would seem I was merely there at a time that she was not home. I had no choice but to heed his words.

So, that night, I returned.

Chapter 4: Vérité

(I have no idea how I'm going to stretch this story to reach Halloween. Unlike my other story, the game file for this story is ongoing, meaning I'm still getting screenshots. Though, I will do my best!)

I found it remarkable that Liam had become so willing to open up to me, in what seemed like record time.

At first, of course, he still kept secrets, but slowly, he revealed each one to me. In turn, I saw him gradually change.

I aided him in this transformation. At first, I gave him a new wardrobe. The results were initially mixed.

He even said to me himself, he didn't 'feel right'. Of course, I simply attributed it to the fact I simply wasn't done yet.

I soon decided that those dreadful glasses he wore were part of the problem. But, of course, he protested, saying he needed them to see.

In time, they were done away with, and Liam settled for contacts. Almost immediately, it was as though he were a different man.

Chapter 3: Amitié

(I know some of the title names will be inaccurate. When you notice that they are, all I can say is, blame Google Translate.)

The life of a single man in a house was, well, joyous at first. I had my freedom, but in time, I felt as though something were missing.

After I received my daily update from Renauld, I would often try to plan what else I was to do with my time.

I decided, why not have a friend come to live with me?

Of course, my choices were few. Most of those I knew had families of their own, and I was not one to burden them. Others were nothing more than work friends.

Eventually, my choices were narrowed to but a single person.
